Great recipe!!! It’s a definite keeper. The favors are wonderful. I could not find beech mushrooms so i used sliced white mushrooms. It worked great. In fact, the mushrooms were so delicious, I may just do the mushrooms and sauce only as a side dish.

I’d really love to make this recipe! Is there a widely available mushroom that would be good in this recipe (I live in a small town, and don’t have access to very many types of fresh mushrooms). Thanks!

As always, your recipe is spot on. Thank you for bringing me back to the few years I lived in Japan half a century ago. I still vividly remember its magnificent gastronomy to this day. Such wonderful souvenirs can never fade away! 😀

How about Enoki mushrooms in place of Beech mushrooms
