Been making this for years. Love it every time I make it. My son was home from college for an evening and I asked him what special dish he’d like me to make as a treat… “The Japanese curry” he said!

I finally made Amy & Jacky’s Japanese Beef Curry – one of the highest rated IP recipes on the web. Quite time consuming but soooo worth it! Absolutely scrumptious. Followed the directions to a T – including the mozz cheese topping browned in the oven. Make some time to cook this dish!

Amazing recipe! I can’t wait to make it again. Added potatoes and celery on the last pressure cook and it turned out beautiful. Served on white rice. unfortunately I didn’t have any mozzarella to add but I will definitely make sure to add some next time I make it! Used a ninja foodi pressure cooker instead of an instant pot 🙂

My wife’s absolute favorite meal, I make my own Japanese curry roux just for this dish. It is worth the time that it takes to prep and prepare this excellent dish. I have made it for my wife’s birthday dinner for years now, as she only requests this dish! I find myself making it more often to lift her spirits when she is stressed or when I need to get out of the doghouse when I golf too much 😂

A&J’s Japanese Beef Curry. Delicious. Time-consuming but totally worth it. I add 1 potato on top of the beef and onion mixture for the last pressure cook then add 5-min parboiled potatoes and carrots before adding the curry blocks. We like this with 2.5 curry blocks. I’ve also cooked this with beef fingers instead of chuck roast. Prefer the chuck roast though. Super recipe on regular rotation at our house. Usually on weekends, when I have more time.

Amy + Jacky Japanese Beef Curry. Every time I try one of your recipes I think I found a new favorite. Every one of your recipes are fabulous but this one is sugoi (awesome).
