Hello Amy and Jackie,
These are the best lentils I have ever made. They are very delicious and hearty, also economical. I use them mainly in quesadillas, tacos, and burritos. I also add nutritional yeast – yum.
I follow a plant based diet, and sometimes add vegan sausage, but not always.
I find that many of your recipes are easy to adapt to a plant based way of eating. Thank you so much for all of your recipes, especially your congee! Best ever.

Tasted good, even using red lentils (just a personal preference) and pork sausage meat. With saute on low, everything sautéed even before the temperature reached

Perfect every time! I’ve tried many variations on the recipe, using ingredients I had in the kitchen, trying meatless, and customizing for my picky eaters. We love adding a sprinkle of taco seasoning and using the lentils for burritos with cheese and sour cream. Lentils are thick, rich, and extremely favorful. I like to process onion and celery to a fine texture, and use chicken broth. When I didn’t have sausage, I added a little beef bouillon to the broth, added some sage and rosemary, and still got the rich, meaty flavor. Amy and Jacky’s recipes are perfection!

Wow. The umami flavor is going through the roof with this recipe. The Parmesan cheese really adds some depth. The result is a creamy smooth “can’t stop eating” dish

Hubby is not a fan of lentils but he asked when am I making this again 😋 I used bacon instead of smoked sausages.

This was fabulous! my family typically does not like lentils but even my husband loved this recipes, thank you, so easy, so good!!I wish I rated it a 5 but computer shows a 4?/ don’t know why – it was fabulous defiantly a 5!

This was fantastic! Have only had the InstaPot for about 5 months and learning how to use it. I love doing pinto and black beans. Have read a lot of lentil recipes and decided to give it a try. It was outstanding! Makes enough for 6 people. I used a pork-venison sausage with jalapeno, Hatch chile and serrano. My family loved it! Served it over basmati rice with a little star anise. Will be trying more stuff from this site!

This was super tasty, and I loved the suggestion to add a splash of balsamic. My lentils still had a little crunch to them, so I’ll add a couple minutes next time, but I will definitely make this again. Thank you!
